Iran's Revolutionary Guard diverts six ships from Strait of Hormuz

Six ships changed course from the Omani corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) patrolled the area.

Maritime intelligence firm Windward reported the diversion and said that, since Saturday, two of the ships diverted from the route that runs closer to Oman than Iran have sailed towards Iran, while the four others have returned to the Gulf.

The IRGC navy has been issuing radio warnings to ships using routes other than what Iran describes as its "safe route", it added.
