Iranian authorities announced that 100 countries participated in the farewell ceremonies for the body of the martyr, Sayyid Khamenei, at the Imam Khomeini Mosque in the capital, Tehran, in the presence of official and popular delegations from dozens of countries.
Authorities stated that "delegations from approximately 100 countries are participating in the farewell ceremonies, including heads of state and government, speakers of parliament, foreign ministers, special envoys, as well as political figures and popular delegations."
They added that "the ceremonies for receiving and bidding farewell to the foreign delegations are being held in Tehran as part of the official funeral program, which extends throughout the day and includes the participation of Iranian officials and prominent foreign guests."
