The head of the Victory Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, announced today, Sunday, his support for the state authorities' measures to combat corruption and those involved in it.
In a post on the (X) platform, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Abadi said, "I strongly support the state authorities' measures to combat corruption and those involved in it," calling for "their continuation and strengthening, in order to achieve truth and justice, and to protect the people and the state."
Al-Abadi also called for "two essential things:
First: that the fight against corruption be comprehensive and continuous, not subject to political balances or narrow interests, and that everyone be held to the same standard.
Second: that these measures be part of a structural reform project for the political system, ending chaos, quotas, and cronyism, and establishing a state of institutions and the rule of law."
Al-Abadi called on everyone to "support these measures, in support of reform, and to consolidate legal, national, and moral integrity."
