Finance Minister Faleh Sari met today, Sunday, with the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Niccolo Fontana, to discuss activating bilateral agreements and following up on the implementation of joint programs and projects.
A statement from the Ministry of Finance, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "Finance Minister Faleh Sari received the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Niccolo Fontana, and his accompanying delegation."
"The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between Iraq and Italy and ways to develop them in line with the Iraqi government's priorities in the areas of development and economic reform."
According to the statement, the Minister emphasized "the importance of benefiting from Italian expertise in vital sectors, particularly agriculture and health, to support development efforts and enhance the efficiency of economic and financial institutions," stressing "the importance of activating bilateral agreements and following up on the implementation of joint programs and projects."
