Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command, Lieutenant General Staff Officer Qais Al-Mohammadawi, arrived in the holy city of Karbala on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the Security Media Cell and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command, Lieutenant General Staff Officer Qais Al-Mohammadawi, arrived in holy Karbala.”
The statement added that the visit aims to hold a meeting with security commanders and oversee the implementation of the security plan for the Ashura pilgrimage.
