The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, emphasized on Tuesday the importance of the deep fraternal relations between Iraq and Jordan.
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, discussed on Tuesday with the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Mazen al-Qadi, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and joint Arab coordination, on the sidelines of the 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, held in Baku, Azerbaijan."
"Faihan affirmed the depth of the fraternal relations between Iraq and Jordan, noting that the intertwining of interests and close ties have made the Kingdom one of the countries most affected by the situation in Iraq," according to the statement.
"He pointed out that Iraq has begun to recover and is moving steadily towards stability and development, which will positively impact Jordan and the region, while he reviewed regional challenges and their economic repercussions, emphasizing "the legislative authority's commitment to supporting economic reform and diversifying oil export outlets," the statement added.
For his part, Jordanian Speaker of Parliament Mazen Al-Qadi reiterated his country's support for the unity and stability of Iraq, stressing the Kingdom's support for developing bilateral relations in various fields.
