U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz remains fully open.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said, "We have been able to move greater volumes of oil than before," stressing that "the Strait of Hormuz is fully open."
He added that "Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon," noting that "Iran has been performing very well with regard to the Strait of Hormuz."
Trump further said, "We are making good progress in the negotiations aimed at reaching a fair and reasonable agreement with Iran," adding that "the Iranian frozen assets to be released will be used exclusively to purchase food products from American farmers."
