Speaker of Parliament, Haybat al-Halbousi, affirmed to the UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Administrator, on Monday, Parliament's support for the government in implementing development projects and strengthening economic reform and sustainable development efforts.
Al-Halbousi received the UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Administrator, Abdullah al-Dardari, and his accompanying delegation, said the Speaker's Media Office in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
During the meeting, the statement included that areas of cooperation and ways to support national development priorities were discussed, and the existing partnership between Iraq and the UNDP was emphasized.
The Speaker of Parliament affirmed "Parliament's support for the government in implementing development projects and strengthening economic reform and sustainable development efforts."
In turn, al-Dardari expressed "the UNDP's readiness to provide all possible forms of support to Iraq's efforts in all fields."
