Iraqi News Agency 2026/06/11 21:49

Baghdad – INA

The Weather Forecasting Department of the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismological Survey issued its weather forecast for the coming week on Thursday.

A statement from the department, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "next week will see summer weather and generally stable conditions," noting that "the latest weather map updates show the continuation of typical summer weather, due to the continued dominance of the surface thermal low-pressure system."

The statement added that "temperatures will be relatively stable, remaining close to their current averages, with a slight and limited decrease expected in some cities, particularly in the northern and western regions, due to minor fluctuations in air masses."

It continued, "Winds will blow from the northwest and will be generally moderate, with light to moderate activity during the daytime, especially in the central and southern regions due to temperature differences," indicating that "the winds will gradually subside during the evening and night hours."
