Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi praised the decision of Sadiqoun Movement (Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq) by implementing the disengagement from the Popular Mobilization Forces formations, and restricting weapons to the hands of the state.

In a post on the "X" platform, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Halbousi stated: "We commend the responsible stance of Sadiqoun Movement (Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq) in initiating the process of disengagement with the PMF, limiting weapons to the hands of the state, and working according to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”

He added: "We confirm that building a strong and stable state requires supporting its constitutional institutions, empowering them to perform their duties, and ensuring their monopoly on military and security decisions in accordance with the law and the constitution. It also necessitates unifying national efforts to enhance security and stability, protect citizens' interests, and safeguard Iraq's sovereignty."
