The head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, affirmed today, Friday, that people yearn for justice to enjoy peace, while expressing his hope that the entire world will move towards strengthening justice and respecting international law.
Sheikh Hamoudi's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, received today the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic to Baghdad, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadiq," noting that "greetings were exchanged on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing the people of both countries peace, stability, and prosperity, and the nation dignity, honor, and lasting love among its peoples."
Sheikh Hamoudi expressed his hope "that the entire world will move towards strengthening justice and respecting international law and the values of human coexistence," stressing that "people yearn for this to enjoy peace, stability, and a dignified life."
He praised "the patience, steadfastness and courage shown by the Iranian people in the face of aggression," hoping that "diplomatic efforts will lead to fair and equitable solutions that establish lasting peace in the region."
