US President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday that the naval blockade on Iran would be lifted, indicating that ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz could return.
In remarks reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the US president said, "Ships stranded in the Strait due to the blockade, which we will now lift, can begin the process of returning."
He added, "Iran must agree that it will never possess a nuclear weapon or bomb, and the nuclear dust buried deep underground will be extracted." He also stated that "the Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately with no tolls in both directions."
He continued, "All naval mines, if any exist, will be removed. We have already detonated many, and Iran will remove the remainder."
