Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported on Sunday that no final understanding has yet been reached regarding an agreement with the United States.
The agency quoted informed sources as saying that Tehran rejects linking the release of its frozen assets to the issue of enriched nuclear materials, stressing that part of those assets must be released at the outset of any potential announcement of an understanding with Washington.
The sources added that Iran has not, at the current stage, made any commitments regarding the details of the nuclear file, noting that disagreements remain over a number of provisions under discussion.
They said the Iranian and U.S. sides have so far failed to reach a final understanding, as consultations continue on unresolved issues.
