Trade Minister Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani on Friday affirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing the government programme, stressing that it will work under a government vision aligned with priorities supporting food security and developing the ration card system.
Al-Ani said in a statement that “granting confidence to the ministerial cabinet represents an important step towards strengthening political stability and advancing economic and service reforms,” extending congratulations to Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and members of the Council of Ministers on the government winning the confidence of the parliament.
He added that “parliamentary support reflects keenness to ensure the success of the coming phase and achieve the aspirations of citizens,” praising the parliament backing for the new government.
Al-Ani explained that “the Ministry of Trade will operate under a clear governmental vision based on the government programme and in line with the government’s priorities in supporting food security, developing ration card items, strengthening market oversight, and providing an economic environment that contributes to supporting the private sector and achieving sustainable development.”
He stressed that “the ministry is committed to implementing the pillars of the government programme within the specified timelines and in coordination with the relevant ministries and institutions, in a way that serves citizens’ interests and strengthens public confidence in government performance.”
