The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday the termination of the ceasefire agreement, noting that Russian forces are continuing the execution of their military operations.
Sputnik News Agency quoted a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense stating: "In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and during the commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of Victory Day, all Russian troop formations in the special military operation zone adhered to a ceasefire from May 8 until May 11, remaining at their previously controlled lines and positions."
The ministry pointed out that "following the expiration of the ceasefire, the Russian Armed Forces resumed military operations," specifying that they "conducted large-scale strikes targeting Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities, long-range drone storage warehouses, fuel and lubricant storage depots, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian forces."
