Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and President Nizar Amidi emphasized on Sunday the importance of strengthening understandings among national forces based on the principle of partnership, in order to agree on forming the new government and granting it confidence to proceed with implementing its program.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received President Nizar Amidi on Sunday, where they discussed the overall situation in the country, as well as regional and international developments."
"The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening understandings among national forces based on the principle of partnership, in order to agree on forming the new government and granting it confidence to proceed with implementing its program, sustaining reform, development, and economic revival projects, and fulfilling the aspirations of citizens throughout the country."
According to the statement "Both sides stressed the need for cooperation and joint coordination among all political forces and parties to confront current challenges, and to work in a responsible national spirit to consolidate stability and achieve the supreme national interest."
