Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al-Fahad passed away today, Tuesday, at the age of 78, after a career spanning more than five decades, during which she was a pillar of Gulf and Arab drama. This was announced by Al-Fahad Art Production Company on its official Instagram account.

The company's statement mourned the late actress with moving words, noting that she passed away "after a struggle with illness." The statement emphasized that she left behind "a legacy of artistic and humanitarian contributions," and that she was "a symbol of Gulf drama," while offering prayers for her mercy and forgiveness.

Hayat Al-Fahad was born on April 15, 1948 in eastern Kuwait, before moving in her childhood with her family to the Al-Mirqab area, where she lived her early years in a popular environment that was later reflected in the nature of the roles she played. She did not complete her formal education, as she found herself early on forced to bear the responsibilities of life, which prompted her to develop her skills on her own in reading and writing, before she turned to work in Kuwaiti radio, which formed her first gateway to the artistic field in the early sixties of the last century.
