Violent drone attacks targeted bases of Iranian Kurdish opposition parties in Iraq’s Kurdistan region on Monday evening, after air defences intercepted drones over the city of Erbil, according to Iraqi media. The US-led international coalition also shot down an Iranian drone in the border area of Soran near Iran, the same sources said. Iraqi news agency Shafaq News reported that the headquarters of two Iranian Kurdish opposition parties were targeted in separate attacks involving three drones in the Bahrka and Khalifan areas, north of Erbil province.
