Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei has told Lebanon’s Hezbollah that Tehran made ending Israeli attacks on Lebanon a key condition in its memorandum of understanding with the United States. In a message issued on Sunday, Khamenei said Iran also made preserving Lebanon’s territorial integrity a condition for concluding the memorandum with Washington, which was signed electronically last month. He added that US President Donald Trump announced the end of the ceasefire on 8 July.
