Iraqi Prime Minister AliAl-Zaidi arrived in Tehran on Thursday for a two-day official visit centered onenergy, regional developments, and bilateral cooperation.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian welcomed Al-Zaidi during an officialreception ceremony at Saadabad Palace in the Iranian capital.
Government spokesperson HaiderAl-Aboudi said on Wednesday that discussions with Iranian officials would coverenergy and agriculture, while a government source previously told Shafaq Newsthe agenda also includes ensuring continued Iranian natural gas supplies forIraq’s power sector, advancing investment projects, and easing tensions betweenTehran and Washington.

After Tehran, Al-Zaidi isscheduled to travel to Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Syria as part of a broaderregional diplomatic tour.
The trip follows his five-daystay in the United States, the first since taking office, where he led ahigh-level delegation in talks on investment, oil exports, production capacity,refining, and a wider economic partnership.
