The Iranian army announced on Tuesday that it had shot down a suicide drone in East Azerbaijan province in the northwest of the country.
The Iranian Tasnim News Agency quoted the army as saying: "Air defenses shot down a hostile suicide drone in East Azerbaijan province in the northwest of the country."
