The Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee announced on Monday that the energy agreements with the United States will improve Iraq's energy situation.
"The energy agreements signed with the United States will improve the electricity situation in Iraq," the head of the Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee, Falah Al-Dulaimi, told the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He pointed out, "The electricity crisis will continue this summer due to gas shortages and the lack of electricity imports. The agreements signed with the US will have a positive impact in the coming years."
“The Electricity and Energy Committee will host the Minister of Electricity next Thursday to discuss the electricity crisis, proposed solutions, the Faw Energy City project, and other related topics," he noted.
