Deputy Oil Minister for Extraction Affairs, Nasir Aziz, met with Siemens Energy Iraq Managing Director Muhannad Al-Saffar on Sunday to discuss cooperation in oil, gas and renewable energy projects, the Oil Ministry said.
The ministry stated in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA that" the meeting, which was also attended by Iraq Business Development Director Mohammed Issa Qasim, reviewed the company's current and planned projects in cooperation with the Oil Ministry, as well as the latest technological developments".
The two sides also discussed ways to expand joint cooperation in oil, gas and renewable energy projects, according to the statement.
Al-Saffar reaffirmed Siemens Energy's readiness to support the Oil Ministry's projects and contribute to efforts to develop Iraq's oil and gas industry and expand renewable energy initiatives through the deployment of advanced technologies and specialized expertise, the ministry said.
