The Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport announced on Saturday the continued, regular operation of air traffic between Syria and Iraq via almost daily flights, confirming Damascus International Airport's readiness to provide all necessary facilities for Iraqi travelers.
"We welcome our Iraqi brothers to their second home, Syria. There are regular and continuous flights connecting the two brotherly countries," said the head of the Authority's Media Department, Mustafa Khairallah, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Khairallah highlighted that "Damascus International Airport is witnessing active air traffic, with almost daily flights connecting the capital, Damascus, with the capital, Baghdad, in addition to regular flights between Damascus and Erbil."
“The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, with all its staff, is working to provide the necessary logistical services and facilities for our fellow travelers, ensuring the smooth and comfortable flow of flights between the two countries," he noted.
