Russia in contact with Iranian officials after recent escalations

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Russia was in contact with Iranian officials as the recent round of "destabilisation" took place, Reuters reported.

While not sharing any details about the nature of the contacts, Peskov said that Iran had not requested a phone call with President Vladimir Putin.
