The General Company for Iraqi Ports announced on Wednesday that the drone crash incident did not affect the operational processes within the port.
A statement issued by the General Company for Iraqi Ports, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), clarified that "earlier this morning, an unidentified drone crashed within the perimeter of the Grand Faw Port, specifically in an open area."
The company confirmed that "the incident resulted in no casualties or material damage, as the drone crashed in an open area far from workers, equipment, and facilities, the incident did not affect workflow or operations within the port, which are continuing as normal."
He added that "the relevant security authorities have begun taking the necessary measures and investigating the circumstances of the incident in coordination with the company's management and other relevant parties."
According to the statement, the company called on "media outlets and social media users to be accurate and obtain information from official sources and to refrain from spreading any information that may mislead the public."
