Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command and Head of the Supreme Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Mahmadawi, arrived in Diyala Province on Tuesday morning, accompanied by a high-level security delegation.
According to a statement issued by the Supreme Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Mahmadawi was accompanied by the heads of the specialized service, security, and technical committees during a visit to the Al-Mundhiriyah border crossing in Diyala Province.
The statement added that the visit aimed to review the latest preparations for receiving pilgrims attending the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) through the Al-Mundhiriyah border crossing, as well as to inspect the sector of responsibility.
