The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated on Monday that the attack on Sana'a International Airport constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said in a press statement, as followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Tehran condemns the attack on Sana'a International Airport."
He added that "Tehran considers the attack on Sana'a International Airport a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and a disregard for Yemen's sovereignty."
He emphasized that "the attack on Sana'a Airport contradicts efforts to establish peace and stability."
"The attack on Sana'a Airport contravenes the 2022 ceasefire agreement and subsequent understandings to prevent an escalation of tensions," noting that "these reckless actions jeopardize the political process and efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis." Baghaei said.
He indicated that "Iran is ready to provide any possible assistance to advance the political process and achieve lasting peace and stability in Yemen."
