The Iraqi Drilling Company announced on Monday the completion of drilling the oil well in the Zubair field.
The company's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Oil, Basim Muhammad Khudair Al-Abadi, and with the follow-up of the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Extraction Affairs, Nasir Aziz Jabbar, the technical and engineering staff of the company completed the drilling of the inclined oil well ZB-679 in the Zubair oil field, for the benefit of the Zubair Field Operating Authority, using the drilling rig IDC-56, at a depth of 3846 meters and an angle of inclination of 20 degrees."
The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Muhammad Hantoush Asad Al-Azirjawi, confirmed that “this achievement represents a new addition to the record of successes achieved by the company in implementing drilling projects,” indicating that it “reflects the efficiency of the national staff and their ability to complete work according to the highest technical and operational standards.”
It added that "the company continues to implement its operational plans with high efficiency, by employing its technical capabilities and accumulated expertise, which contributes to supporting the Ministry of Oil's plans to increase production and maximize reliance on national effort."
