President Nizar Amedi has conveyed the condolences of the Republic of Iraq to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of his father, the late Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
In a message to the Qatari Emir, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA,”The President expressed Iraq's solidarity with the leadership and people of Qatar during this time of mourning and extended his deepest sympathies on behalf of the Iraqi government and people”.
“With profound sorrow that I learned of the passing of Your Highness's esteemed father, the late Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. On behalf of the Republic of Iraq—its government and people—and on my own behalf, I extend to Your Highness, the Al Thani family, and the brotherly people of the State of Qatar my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy,” The statement added.
“At this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with the State of Qatar and share in the grief of a nation mourning the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders. Sheikh Hamad's enduring legacy and his contributions to the progress and development of Qatar will be remembered with profound respect,”the statement confirmed.
May Almighty God embrace the deceased in His infinite mercy, grant him eternal peace, and bestow strength, patience, and comfort upon Your Highness, your family, and all those who mourn his passing.
