The General Company for Ports of Iraq announced on Saturday that it had received the ship KSL MINGYANG, loaded with oil equipment intended to support Iraqi oil fields, at the berths of the North Umm Qasr Port.

"The Director General of the company, Marine Captain Alaa Abdul-Hassan Al-Akeeli, stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The vessel KSL MINGYANG was received at the berths of the North Umm Qasr Port, carrying 5,209 assorted pieces of oil equipment designated to support Iraqi oil fields.”

Al-Akeeli emphasized that “the handling operations for the cargo of the vessel KSL MINGYANG, which docked at Berth 19, were carried out with high efficiency."

"He noted that “the directives of the Minister of Transportation, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, emphasize the need to maintain all Iraqi port berths at the highest levels of readiness to receive ships loaded with goods and equipment, ensuring rapid offloading and a smooth flow of maritime trade”

He added that “the company continues to implement its operational and technical plans to enhance work efficiency across ports, thereby contributing to supporting economic activity and ensuring the secure delivery of various vital shipments to end-users, in accordance with the highest performance and safety standards.”
