The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Hussein al-Awadi, arrived in Basra Governorate on Saturday.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Hussein al-Awadi, arrived in Basra Governorate."
It added that "he was received by the Governor, Asaad al-Eidani, the Commander of Basra Operations, and a number of security leaders and officials in the governorate."
