First Deputy Speaker of the Parlimant Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi affirmed on Friday the renewal of his commitment to supporting legislation and policies that ensure fairness for the families of martyrs and the wounded.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Fayhan said: “On the anniversary of the liberation of Mosul, we recall with pride and honor one of the greatest national epics written by Iraqis through their solidarity, unity, and response to the call of The Supreme Religious Authority, represented by the fatwa of sufficient jihad, which constituted a historic turning point in the battle for liberation. It broke the power of terrorism, unified the people of Iraq in confronting it, and wrote the epic of liberation and victory by restoring the land, safeguarding sovereignty, and preserving national dignity.”
He added that “this great victory would not have been achieved without the immense sacrifices made by our righteous martyrs and heroic wounded from the Iraqi Army, Federal Police, Counter-Terrorism Service, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the loyal tribal fighters, whose pure blood was shed on the soil of the homeland to create an enduring epic that restored Iraq’s security and prestige, strengthened the unity of its people, and shattered the illusions of terrorism and extremism.”
Fayhan continued: “As we commemorate this enduring national occasion, we renew our commitment to continuing support for legislation and policies that ensure fairness for the families of martyrs and the wounded, protect their rights, preserve the achievements of victory, strengthen the capabilities of state institutions, consolidate the rule of law, continue combating terrorism and corruption in all its forms, and complete the process of building a strong and just state founded on justice and the rule of law, capable of fulfilling the aspirations of our people for security, stability, and development.”
