The Central Bank issued instructions on Wednesday to regulate foreign currency quotas for travelers.

The bank's media office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the instructions include setting a ceiling of $2,000 per month for adult travelers, instead of $3,000, as part of developing the management of foreign currency sales operations, enhancing the efficiency of resource allocation, and aligning with best international banking practices."

The statement added that "this measure is part of a package of regulatory reforms implemented by the Central Bank to ensure access to foreign currency for all, thereby contributing to strengthening the stability of the money market and improving the efficiency of resource management."
