The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation on Tuesday of the terrorist plots that Moroccan security authorities announced they had thwarted.
A statement issued by the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist plots that Moroccan security authorities announced they had thwarted which targeted sensitive sites and threatened the security of Morocco and the safety of its citizens."
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that these criminal plots represent a flagrant violation of the security and stability of states and constitute a threat to peace and security," reiterating "Iraq's firm stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and against anything that would destabilize the security of societies and terrorize civilians."
According to the statement "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expresses Iraq's full solidarity with Morocco and its support for the measures it is taking to maintain its security and stability," praising "the vigilance and efficiency of the Moroccan security services in thwarting these terrorist plots."
