The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, on Tuesday, the terrorist bombings that targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, affirming that Iraq rejects all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence, regardless of the motives or justifications.

A statement issued by the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its strongest condemnation of the terrorist bombings carried out using a number of explosive devices, which targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, resulting in injuries to a number of innocent civilians."

The Ministry emphasized, according to the statement, that "these criminal acts represent a flagrant violation of the security and stability of civilians and aim to undermine security and stability in Syria," reiterating "Iraq's firm and unwavering stance in rejecting all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence, whatever their motives or justifications."

The Ministry added, "We express Iraq's solidarity with Syria in confronting these terrorist attacks, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
