The 36th NATO Summit kicked off in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Tuesday. The summit began with the Defense Industries Forum, which focuses on transatlantic production and related investments.

Media outlets reported that the forum was held at a hotel in Ankara and is expected to be the largest industrial event in NATO's history.
The heads of state and government of the alliance are scheduled to meet at the Presidential Complex in the Turkish capital on Wednesday. The complex is also hosting events on Tuesday with the participation of the defense and foreign ministers of the member states.
According to the official program published by NATO, a "significant announcement" is expected during the forum, with the participation of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who will all deliver speeches.
Rutte and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are also expected to make statements at the forum, which will feature various sessions on defense industries.
