Nineveh province in northernIraq recorded a new case of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), bringingthe province’s cases to 12 since the start of 2026., an official medical sourcetold Shafaq News on Monday.
The patient, 32, was transferredto the isolation ward at Al-Shifa Hospital in Mosul to receive treatment underthe approved medical protocol.
Shafaq News data showed that Iraq has recorded 158 confirmed CCHF infections and 10 deaths since thebeginning of the year. Dhi Qar remains the hardest-hit province, with 74confirmed cases.
