Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Atroshi and National State Forces Alliance leader Ammar Al-Hakim stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation among national political forces to navigate the current phase.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Speaker's media office and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Atroshi met with Al-Hakim in the presence of several MPs from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the National State Forces Alliance.
The statement said the meeting focused on upcoming political priorities and ways to enhance the work of parliament in its legislative and oversight roles, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening constructive cooperation among national and political forces to address current challenges.
According to the statement, Atroshi said parliament would continue carrying out its legislative and oversight responsibilities, adding that the upcoming legislative term would be active in passing laws, monitoring government performance, advancing reforms, and combating administrative and financial corruption.
