The Maysan Narcotics Affairs Directorate announced on Friday the arrest of one of the province's most notorious foreign crystal meth traffickers.
The directorate said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the suspect was apprehended during an operation based on intelligence information and sustained surveillance, while in possession of 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine.
It added that legal measures have been taken against the suspect to ensure he is brought to justice.
