Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, warned on Friday against abandoning the coordination framework.

In a post on the “X” platform, which was monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Maliki stated, “The coordination framework is a national political project that has proven its success and formed an incubator for the national political process. Its ability to form three successive governments is practical and theoretical proof of the project’s success and its capacity to manage the current phase and achieve stability.”

“Therefore, there is no reason to abandon a project that has proven its success. The framework will remain as it was established, preserving its principles, identity, and founders. If there is a need to develop working mechanisms or enhance performance, this will be within the framework of natural development that keeps pace with changes and not at the expense of the project’s core or identity,” he added.
