The leader of the Shiite National Movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, called on Friday for support for the new reform campaign, calling for a peaceful stand in support of the reform adopted by Prime Minister Ali Faleh al zaid.
In his special speech in support of the reform campaign implemented by Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, which was delivered by the Imam and preacher of Friday prayers in Baghdad, Sheikh Hussein al-Muhammadawi, and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We were and still are advocates of reform, and we have nothing in common with the corrupt, not even love for Hussein (peace be upon him),You were and still are with me in good times and bad, so let us continue our path to support reform and the new reform campaign whose light has begun to shine in our beloved Iraq.”
He added: “Let us rise up for a peaceful stand in support of reform and the reformer, Brother Al-Zaidi, may God protect him, to strengthen his resolve and to discourage the corrupt who are trying to pressure him regarding the courageous raids that have terrified and disturbed many from inside and outside.”
He continued: “Thank you to everyone who helped Brother Al-Zaidi, such as the Iraqi judiciary, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, and the heroic security forces,i hold the corrupt fully responsible for the lives of the reformers, the soldiers of reform, and all advocates of reform who seek to restore the prestige of the nation, religion, and sect.”
