The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Thursday that the 36th Brigade has assumed responsibility for securing the city of Samarra and its outer checkpoints from the 315th Brigade.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the PMF said the 36th Brigade had taken over responsibility for securing Samarra and its outer checkpoints from the 315th Brigade.

The statement added that the 36th Brigade has commenced its duties in the city and at the outer checkpoints, noting that the handover process was completed in accordance with approved procedures to ensure the continued execution of security responsibilities and maintain stability in the area.
