Parliament Speaker, CBI Governor Stress importance of developing banking reform programmes

​ The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Haibet Alhalbousi, received, on Wednesday, the newly appointed Governor of the Central Bank, Nizar Nasser Hussein.

​ Media Office of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi news agency-INA that, “The Speaker congratulated Hussein on assuming his new duties, wishing him every success in his work”.

​“The discussion focused on the importance of developing comprehensive banking reform programmes, aimed at strengthening institutional performance and supporting financial and banking stability across Iraq”, the statement added.
