Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Nouri, emphasized the importance of economic and investment relations between Iraq and Turkey on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Industry stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Nouri, received representatives of several Turkish companies and businessmen on Wednesday, in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan."
The statement added that "a meeting was held at the Ministry headquarters to discuss economic and investment relations between Iraq and Turkey and to establish a joint mechanism for expanding industrial and economic cooperation."
During the meeting, the Minister of Industry stressed "the importance of economic and investment relations between Iraq and Turkey," highlighting "the investment opportunities available to Turkish companies in the industrial sector."
For his part, the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq affirmed "his country's desire to expand industrial cooperation with Iraq and the readiness of Turkish companies to contribute to investment projects in Iraq."
