Iraqi authorities have arrested several suspects in corruption cases based on confessions made by Deputy Oil Minister Adnan al-Jumaili, a senior source told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Sunday.
The source said those arrested included members of parliament whose parliamentary immunity had been lifted, as well as officials whose names were mentioned in al-Jumaili's confessions.
The source added that Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi was determined to pursue individuals accused of corruption and involvement in the misappropriation of state funds.
