Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met on Monday with a delegation from Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on preparations and arrangements for organizing religious pilgrimages, as well as efforts to strengthen and support the work of the Higher Committee for Multimillion-Pilgrims Events, according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the holy shrines to ensure the provision of the best services to pilgrims arriving from within Iraq and abroad.

Al-Zaidi highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting the holy religious shrines and enhancing their role by implementing service and infrastructure projects that facilitate the smooth movement of pilgrims and accommodate the growing number of visitors, thereby promoting the development of religious tourism in Iraq.
