PM Ali Faleh al-Zaidi oversaw the handover ceremony at the National Security Advisory on Saturday, between the new advisor, Qasim Hassan al-Aboudi, and the former advisor, Qasim Mohammed Jalal al-Araji.

During his attendance at the ceremony, the Prime Minister stressed: “the importance of maintaining professional performance, raising the level of institutional work, and continuing to fulfill the tasks assigned to the Advisory, in order to enhance security and stability and support the security capabilities of all relevant agencies and formations,” according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

Al-Zaidi praised "al-Araji's professional performance throughout his tenure,” emphasizing “the need to continue monitoring strategic security files and special programs that strengthen the independence of Iraqi security decision-making and support the country's sovereignty."
