The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) affirmed on Saturday its commitment to the ceasefire, while indicating that it will not tolerate any attempt by the enemy to seize land and expand its occupation.
In a statement, the party said, "The (Israeli) enemy is once again resorting to false pretexts to justify its violation of the ceasefire, which it has never adhered to, including the violations it has been committing since last night until today."
He affirmed that “the resistance has adhered to the ceasefire since Friday evening, June 19, 2026, even after the enemy violated it from the very first moments, but it kept its hand on the trigger due to the enemy’s constant treachery and betrayal,” adding that “once again, under the cover of the ceasefire, the enemy carried out an infiltration attempt last night towards the height of Ali al-Taher, which remained impregnable to it despite its repeated attempts to occupy it. When the infiltrating infantry force belonging to the enemy army’s commando brigade reached an ambush of resistance fighters, the fighters confronted them with appropriate weapons, inflicting a confirmed number of dead and wounded among their ranks.”
