Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi offered his condolences today, Friday, on the passing of Iraqi writer and novelist Samira Al-Manea.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi offered his condolences to the literary and cultural communities on the passing of Iraqi writer and novelist Samira Al-Manea."
The Prime Minister added, according to the condolence statement: "The deceased was a pioneer who enriched the literary scene with her works in the arts of the novel, short story, and theater. May God have mercy on her soul, and condolences to her family and loved ones."
